The problem with not picking up every magazine that comes along monthly, is you miss out on great stuff. Was randomly clicking around when we found local designer Keith Png’s blog, in turn discovering this designing gem who is already a press favourite.
Apparently, several local celebs – Zoe, Fann - have pledged allegiance to the former chief designer of I.S and ex-partner of the now defunct Mizu label. We love the adorable dresses he has made since starting his label Koops in April ‘07 (see editorial spreads above and designs below).
It seems like he’s preparing a ready-to-wear line but information is scarce. The good news is Koops does customised dresses! Package price starts from S$800* and above (depending on the design/construction complexicity and fabric/trimmings chosen) The whole process from consultation to fitting may take a min of 4 weeks. The $800 quoted is based on a fully lined knee length dress.
