this picture (and the rest of the series) was taken by karl lagerfeld & featured in Nov Harper’s Bazaar. haven’t noticed them till now. beautiful picture, beautiful styling. on left Givenchy Haute Couture, on right Prada top and dress. love the shape of the dresses and how stern even the soft pink fascinators look. most incredible is the unapologetic use of black, stripped of all embellishments. no ornaments, no lace, no organza or any other distractions. just two very well thought out, wonderfully made dresses. like writing without using fancy words, making a film without special effects. very very stimulating to look at and think about.
